Knox began her dance journey at age three with her formal studies beginning at the Stouffville Dance Centre in Ontario, Canada. Under the direction of Michele Green (later proceeded by Deborah Radbourne), Knox specialized in Ballet (RAD), Modern (Graham) and Tap. Upon her enrollment at Unionville High School with their exclusive arts program formally known as Arts York, Knox continued her studies as well as training in Modern (Limon), Jazz, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop. Knox also began her first experiences in acting and voice classes. 

Upon graduating high school with a specialty diploma from Arts York, Knox enrolled at Ryerson University in their Performance Dance Program under the direction of Nadia Potts. While there she was trained in Ballet (Maureen Consolati, Nadia Potts), Modern (Karen Duplisea, Kenny Pearl, Robert Glumbek, Christopher House, Johanna Bergfelt, Allen Kaeja), Jazz (Vicki St. Denys, Derek Sangster, Stelio Calagias), acting (Marianne McIsaac, Diana Reis), voice and music (Irene Pauzer, David Walden, Rigzin Tute, Allen Cole), and creative performance studies (Sheldon Rosen). Academic courses in her training at Ryerson included dramaturgy, anatomy, English, philosophy, entrepreneurship, art and theatre histories. She also had the pleasure of working with esteemed choreographers such as Darryl Tracy and Allen Kaeja as well as being involved with work by her peers. In her fourth year, Knox choreographed and produced her first full length production called "Touch and Go" as part of Ryerson's New Voices festival. She has earned her Bachelor in Fine Arts in Performance Dance as well as her Intermediate Vocational R.A.D. with merit from Ryerson. Upon graduation, Knox worked to complete her FIS and PTS from CanFit, and delved into the world of fitness through DivaGirl Fitness and King West Fitness. 

In her career thus far, Knox has had the honor of working with some of the most amazing talent Toronto has to offer. Favourite past performances include shows with Iphigenia in Tauris (Canadian Opera Company), Circus Terrifico, Perspectives, Carmina Burana, A Christmas Carol (Motus O), Love Letters Cabaret (Pastel Supernova Enterprises), new works as part of the Toronto Fringe Festival, Cats, A Chorus Line, Titanic: the Musical, Steam Heat: A Fosse Celebration (Curtain Call Players), Fever and Fever II (Sophie Luxton). Knox has also has public performances  with Hit And Run Productions, Dragon Entertainment (Las Vegas), Second City Toronto, Kaeja d'Dance, Coco Framboise, DivaGirl Entertainment, RS Divas, Diamond Dancers, City Dance Corps and Nuvo-Burlesque (now known as Army of Sass). Companies and clients Knox has danced and/or choreographed for include  Fallsview Casino, MuchMusic, Casa Loma, Sleeman's, Volvo, Nike, Oreo, Walmart, Rotery International, the Drake Hotel, the Broadwaiew Hotel and the Flight Centre.

On top of regular bookings, Knox is the co-artistic director of High Society Cabaret, writing, choreographing, direction and producing both event entertainment and full-length shows for the past 8 years. She also regularly performs as Knox Harter, the Cheesecake Darling.  Knox Harter is known for her emotional performances with dynamic movement and impressive physical ability. Knox is sought-after teacher and choreographer with nearly 20  years of experience. Studios in Toronto Knox has taught at include The National Ballet of Canada's InStudio, Metro Movement, Millennium Dance Complex, City Dance Corps and Underground Dance Centre. ​She is a certified teacher of Kaeja d'Dance's Express Dance Program and Kaeja Elevations program.  Knox continues to work as a freelance coach, instructor, dancer and  performer, and has been praised as one of the most versatile and engaging performers in Toronto.  

When she's not dancing, Knox enjoys good food, a good nap and the occasional video game. Always a lady of leisure, she has been known to indulge in the finer things in life, such as spa days and dinner dates with herself or her partner.  Knox values the time she has off, and the company she spends it with. She is very lucky to have such wonderful and loving support from her family and friends. Some of Knox's other interests include museums and galleries, playing tourist (in her city or a foreign one), finding new and interesting music, long walks (with good music or good conversation), camping, hitting the gym, or just spending quality time with the people she loves.
